We take special care to ensure that there is a good balance between study and play to ensure the all round development of the student.
Starting with an orientation for parents from the start of the year to the intra-school competitions and music programs to workshops and summer camps, The South School engages in events with the students that not only helps them discover their talents but also, helps them broaden their perspectives on other educational activities.
Orientation
At the start of the school year, an orientation session will be held for the parents to brief them on what to expect through the academic year. Parents are given the opportunity to understand the environment that their children will grow up in better and clarify any questions they may have pertaining to the school and it’s curriculum.
Workshops
The workshop of character is everyday life. We empower our parents and students to attend workshops and learn something new. We love encouraging our students to follow their dreams and the only way they can truly realize their dreams is by trying their hand at as activities as possible. Workshops on parenting, nutrition, counselling children, childcare, physical and mental development are offered to parents as well.
Music Programs
Where words fail, music speaks. We give our students ample opportunity to express themselves through music by hosting various music programs throughout the year. It not only empowers their artistic ability but widens their creativity and ability to be expressive.
Art Exhibitions
Art allows students to freely express themselves. By curating exhibitions to display their works of art, it boosts self-esteem by celebrating the work of every child. We underpin learning through art using an exhibition as a focal point. It also encourages parent involvement in the growth of their child.
Talent Shows
Talent shows are always a memorable school experience. We focus on the students performance rather than the competition. This is an event that appeals to students of all age groups and encourages them to be bold and take the stage to show off what they’re so good at.
Annual Day
The annual day function is is an expression of creativity and imagination portrayed by our students. It forms an integral part of our school activities. Every annual day, we pick out a theme and performances are based around it. All students are given the opportunity to exhibit their talents on this day and all parents are invited to witness and enjoy these.
Independence Day
The 15th of August is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur. The students put up performances and parents are invited to watch. Of course, the highlight of the day’s events being the hoisting of the Indian flag to commemorate our independence.
Science Exhibitions
It is organised every year with a view to encourage and inculcate a scientific temper amongst students. The students showcase their talents in Science, Mathematics, Languages and Social Science. It also helps improve their vocational skills.
Festivals
We train our students right from childhood to experience various cultures through the celebration of all religious festivals and develop tolerance, understanding, and respect for communities-that paves way for a harmonious social living. We celebrate all Indian festivals with great
UKG Graduation
A celebration of a major milestone in the lives of these young children. The South School community comes together to celebrate the children's introduction to education and their respective achievements in academics, sports and creativity. It is a day to bring to light the unique personalities of each of them, wishing them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours.
