NUTRITION PROGRAMME

Schools play an important part in helping students lead healthier lives. We teach students the skills needed to make healthy choices and reinforce those lessons through school practices. Our nutrition standards help provide healthy food for students.

Here are a list of principles we abide by:

1. No junk food is allowed in school. Only fruits and vegetables for snacks and lunch.
2. The food being brought in is closely monitored by the staff so that any recommendations can be made to the parents based on the child’s health.
3. We have tied up with Alma Nourisher. Alma Nourisher offer fundamental knowledge on nutrition in children which enhances the nutrition and wellbeing of children. They send us a nutritionist who makes monthly visits to check up on the children at school. They also record the BMI and assess the health of the students to make necessary recommendations to the parents.
4. We organise monthly workshops for the parents and students on nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
5. We organise food fairs for the students to become more aware and engage in healthy eating practices themselves.
6. We organise a Nutrition Week twice a year for the students to encourage bringing healthy food to school.
7. We organise nutritious recipe competitions to involve parents in promoting healthy eating habits.
